I’ll play shit out on my computer key board sometimes and then just fuck with velocity and automation to make it not sound so static, I feel it does limit you me a lot though I usually end up in the same scale on different tracks if I do an entire track all on the key board which is pretty rare these days, for starting out though i think it’s pretty good beginners should really limit themselves with tools at first and build up from there in my opinion. Like literally right when I started producing I bought ableton suite version and it was just so much at once haha so just focus on what you have and build off of it ( equipment in this case) when you feel like you actually NEED something.
